  1. 2022 Annual Meeting

    In accordance with Article XII, Section 3 of the Bylaws for Frisco Ranch Owners, (Association) you are hereby given notice that an Annual Meeting of the Members is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, 2022, at 6:30 PM, Municipal Building, 1230 Brendan Drive, Little Elm, TX 75068. The Association is a non-profit corporation and as such is required to hold an annual meeting under the laws of the State of Texas. The meeting is being called for the purpose of reviewing the status of the Association. This is a very important meeting to attend.

    There are two (2) available positions open for the Board of Directors. The homeowners present, in person or by proxy, will elect (2) homeowners to the Board of Directors. If you are interested in running for the Board of Directors, please complete the Declaration of Candidacy form attached and fax or e-mail to the attention of the Community Manager; see below for contact information. Please return this form no later than September 23, 2022, to be placed on the ballot. Additional nominations may be taken from the floor. Pursuant to Section 209.0057 of the Texas Property Code, election results are subject to a recount.

    IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU ATTEND THIS MEETING. To conduct this Annual Meeting, a quorum of ten percent (10%) of members must be present in person or by proxy. Enclosed with this letter you will find a proxy. Please complete and return the proxy to our office prior to the meeting. Even if you plan to attend the meeting, please sign the proxy; the proxy will be returned to you at the meeting should you attend. Attendance or returning the proxy will help avoid the cost of another meeting.

  2. Frisco Ranch Water Restrictions

    Event Starts: July 13, 2022



    The allowed watering days are based on your home address:
    Even numbered addresses (00, 04, 08, etc): Tuesday & Friday
    Odd numbered addresses (01, 05, 09, etc): Wednesday & Saturday 

    Attended hand watering and soaker hoses allowed for up to 2 hours on any given day 

    * No watering between 10AM – 6PM
    * Automated irrigation prohibited on the days of: Sunday, Monday & Thursday

Year-Round Lawn Maintenance Tips

As you know, weeds can invade and thrive in all types of environments. The first step in controlling these weed pests is to correctly identify the weed and then determine a proper control strategy.

Herbicides are available that will control most common lawn weeds but they must be used correctly for successful weed control. Check with your local nursery for best results. When possible, take a weed sample with you to ensure that you are purchasing the correct product for your weed problem.

FERTILIZER SCHEDULE:

Late February-Early March - apply a simple 15-5-10 fertilizer for an early green-up.

February-March – use a pre-emergent for grassy weeds to prevent such weeds are Crabgrass, Goose grass and Dallisgrass from popping up late in the spring and summer. Use a grassy pre-emergent like Amaze, Betasan, Balan or Treflan.

Late March-Early April - apply slow-released 3-1-2 ratio fertilizers.

May-Early June – one more application of a grassy pre-emergent will keep fall weeds from invading from August on.

Late June-Early July – apply slow-released 3-1-2 ration fertilizers.

October-November – apply winterizer formulas for winter hardiness.

Late October-Early November – use two different pre-emergent herbicides to prevent the weeds that we experience in February and March. First is a pre-emergent with Portrait or Gallery for board leaf weeds like clover. Second use a pre-emergent with Amaze, Betasan, Balan or Treflan for grassy weeds. There is also Barricade, Dimension or Pendimethlin as a 2-in-1 control.

IRRIGATION:

Water – the best time to water is between 3am and 8am. Watering longer and less frequently is better for your yard than watering daily for short periods of time. You want the water to settle in and saturate the grass. You also want the root system of the grass to go deep. Your yard needs around an inch of water each time you water. Depending on the irrigation system you have, the time can range from 15-45 minutes per zone.
