    Burn Ban – Effective July 13th
    Denton County Judges have issued a burn ban 
    effective immediately resulting from the potential of dangerous wildfires 
    due to lack of rain, extreme heat and dry conditions. 
    Fires have the potential to cause widespread damage to property and endanger lives. 

    This ban will be in effect until Denton County lifts the ban. 

    Burn Ban includes: 

    Burning or Use of a combustible material outdoors or knowingly and willingly
     allowing the use of a combustible material outdoors on private property or in any outdoor environment by any person is prohibited. 
    Open burning of combustible material;
    • Combustible materials include, but are not limited to; wood, lumber, leaves, brush, or materials 
    used in activities such as welding and other activity that could result in a fire.
    • Knowingly or Recklessly discarding lighted or burning materials
    • Exceptions to the bum ban may only be authorized by the Denton County Commissioners Court or County Judg
    e• Professional Fireworks displays using 1.3 G fireworks will only be authorized by permit if conditions and locations are appropriate.
     1 .4G recreational use fireworks are NOT banned due to statutory limitations but are highly discouraged.
    • This Ban/Order does NOT limit the authority granted under other state statutory regulations including reckless damage of property. 
    Damage to property resulting from reckless conduct of outdoor burning or discharge of fireworks could result in further violations of Texas Statutes.

    • All outdoor cooking or open flame devices are prohibited. Unless the cooking device is propane or natural gas 
    and has a complete and full enclosure that is utilized at all times.
    ii. Unless the cooking device is wood or charcoal and has a complete and full enclosure that is utilized, 
    and all areas around the cooking device shall be clear of vegetation and/or combustible materials or debris for a 5′ radius.

  3. Frisco Ranch Water Restrictions

    Event Starts: July 13, 2022

    The allowed watering days are based on your home address:
    Even numbered addresses (00, 04, 08, etc): Tuesday & Friday
    Odd numbered addresses (01, 05, 09, etc): Wednesday & Saturday 

    Attended hand watering and soaker hoses allowed for up to 2 hours on any given day 

    * No watering between 10AM – 6PM
    * Automated irrigation prohibited on the days of: Sunday, Monday & Thursday
